Begur American Fair
A cultural tribute to the American past of Begur
Begur AmericanFair
The "Fira dels Indians de Begur" is one of the most genuine and popular fairs of the Costa Brava. It is celebrated on the first weekend of September and runs for three days. The people of Begur celebrate and evoke the close relationship that existed with Cuba as a result of some of its inhabitants emigrating to the Caribbean island in the past. Visitors can enjoy an extensive programme of activities, such as the characteristic Mercado de los Indianos (American market), with stalls selling coffee, rum and cocoa; musical performances, exhibitions, craft demonstrations, etc. A unique cultural and leisure event.
